I feel confused by the timeline here.
I believed that this Immortal Land bullshit opens only after few years. I didn't notice any indication of timeskip, so another competition happened so soon?

Also what the hell did Tan Yun do? He said "It's impossible for them to recognize me." but the only thing he did was draw 6 squiggly lines on his face. He didn't even change his clothing for fucks sake! And fat friend called him "Senior Tan" after they emerged from the portal. Is this writing stupid on purpose?

Same, looks like they shoved a new entry in that Immortal land just to give him a way to get out. We didn't even see when they got in, what they did there etc, just jump straight to the exit. The rush on this one is incredibly stupid.

it was clear there was a timeskip, in order to get back to portal he told monky would take half yearr, then he is at portal.

but i agree on the disguise thing, at least he could ahve used his old disguise item where he pretended to be that old guy or something.

Yeah, I am always pointing at things to get my point across, but what I really mean is the fact that it makes me sad when they do a sloppy job but all they had to do was simply think a little harder.

Yes this applies to an infinite number of trash storytelling. Separates the masters of it from the average man. And most of it just needs someone reviewing the story to point out the holes and the author to revise holes.
